Hourly Correspondences
Renaissance magicians not only believed in planetary / daily communication but also believed that an hour of day and night corresponded with each planet. Over the days of the week, this definition was favored, but others adopted both to a T. It can get a little confusing. With the planet of the day, the planetary hours of the day start. Since we have equinoxes, the duration is not the same for all days and nights. And this is where algebra comes in a little bit. Between sunrise and sunset, you'll need to count how many minutes there are. When the minutes have been measured, split them by 12 (half of the 24 hours). Depending on which equinox, during the day or night, there will be more hours. Do the same for sunset and split by twelve for sunrise. You should then infer, now that you have your time, the planets correspond to each hour.
Saturday Example: Day/Night Hours:
st hour: Saturn
nd hour: Sun
rd hour: Moon
th hour: Mars
th hour: Mercury
th hour: Jupiter
th hour: Venus
th hour: Saturn
th hour: Sun
th hour: Moon
th hour: Mars
th hour: Mercury
