Anise (Pimpinella Anisum)
Native to Eastern Mediterranean, of the apinceae family. This anise is different then star anise, and is not to be confused with such.
Anise grows to 2.5 ft tall with yellow white flowers in the summer and fall.
It thrives best with well drained soil, rich in organic matter, with a PH of 6.0 - 6.7
It does not do well with wet soil, it is best with dryer soils.
Anise helps ease indigestion, IBS (Irritable Bowel System) And is used as a flavoring agent, of the licorice flavor.
Can be used daily up to 4 weeks for bloating, asthma, indigestion, constipation, depression, diabetes, lice, PMS, it is also an aphrodisiac. Safe up to 4 weeks as a medicine to lower blood sugar.
Make sure to stop used 2 weeks before any surgeries.
